[WTB] MANUAL TRANY

Brole spedo gear...trany stuck

I have a 93 mx-3, 4 cyl witha manual tany. Poor thing has 167000 miles and the spedometer cable driving gear broke and floated somewhere in my trany. I on;y have reverse, 2 and 5th gear now.....cant drive like that.
I really want to fix this myself. How hard is it to take the trany apart and remove ...

I heared that sea foam can do amzing things, but i think that if your engine is runing strong and with no problems, than stay away from aditives.

There is one more spot where oil can leak from and it is easy to fix. The distributor. It is probably easier to relace the Oring at teh distributor than to replace the valve cover gasket. Not that the valve cover gasket is hard.Good luck with buying that car.

I found the problem. After reading my check engine light i diconected the MAF, pulled down the cover of the conector that conects to the maf and found a broken wire right where that funny bend is. I believe i broke that wire while taking out thye batery.
I am so happy that i solved this problem.

MAF problem

I replaced my driver side CV shaft today, everytyhing went fine. Car started drove nice, than i changed the oil in my trany (manual). I put all that stuff back and when i go ahead and start the car.... Car starts runs for 2-3 seconds and dies. I did test my MAF since it looked like a maf problem ...

I will buy the stetoscope, the tensioner is old, and i beleive that some of my pulies have bad bearings. The car runs strong, awsome for its age, no leaks no smoking. I will geta stetoscope tomorow.

I have a slight clicking noise that sounds in a very metalic way. It is a 93 sohc stick. I changet waterpump and belts 2 years ago. So i doubt it is the waer pump. I also doubt that my timing belt is loose, but i will check.Also the clicking noise goes away when the engine is hot, or at least i can ...

You can. Just call MSD, go online find thir customer service number and they will even email or fax a wireing diagram
You have to install en external coil bipass the internal one. But don't worry thir customers support is the BEST.
