Yeah, you'd think so, but like all these company's (looking through like SuperStreet, and Import Tuner) and stuff all show just the pretty shiny ones that stop at the filter where the air box was....

It pretty much is a piece of metal ( i don't know what kind of metal ) and it prety much replaces the factory rubber hose that goes to the air box. It has just a cone filter at the end right where the air box normally is, then piping up to the throttle body.

I got a question for you. Maybe I'm not thinking of sumthin, or I'm just mixed up, but how do these "cold air intakes" really work? If you replace the rubber intake with a shiny piece of metal, won't it just heat up faster w/the engine? Cause when my friends civic gets done driving, his in...
