Re: My radio skips
Make sure the back of the deck is also supported, if it already is then it seems like you might be out of luck. You said it was an older mp3 player, maybe you should only burn the 74 min CD's, or burn CD's on an mp3 platform, meaning not audio files but software. Instead of only 74 minutes, you will ...

Re: alternator question please answer
Since your creating more amps you might need a thicker wire, but sice your not getting more than 12V then I don't think any upgrades are necessary.

Re: alternator
Too bad that guy's an idiot. GM is an american company, and is therefore not up to date on electronics, or electrical components. Unlike the japanese who have always been generations above the rest. My alternator didn't die until it had 180,000 miles on it, and for the last 45,000 miles, I have had ...

Re: orion, rockford and square
And about the other question it really depends on the music you listen to the most. I have Pioneer 4" 2-way 20W mids in front and Polk audio 6.5" 2-way 50W mids in the back, running off a Kicker 252W amp on high pass with high impedence wiring. And I must say it is one of the most versitle systems i ...

Re: orion, rockford and square
None of them make the best subs for your buck, and of the 3, Fosgate has the best amps. Not an amp I would get, i would recomend JL, JBL, or Concept for amps. And JL, MA audio, Concept, or Kicker for subs. But if your only choices are from those 3, I can only say Rockford on the amp, i don't know ...

Re: Doors
I would have to say the JL's, because not only is JL a car stereo company, therefore more focused on the products of cars. But everything JL has to offer is genius, the amps are amazing, their subs are devine, mid-bass, band pass, they are all incredible.

Re: Infinity Kappa speakers are distorting! Need Advise...
I always make mine, it's not that hard. Unless you don't have the neccessities. But I never buy anything but decks at big stores. I always go to the small businesses, because not only are you getting a good product, but the personel know so much more than anybody at a big corporation. Plus they will ...

Re: Infinity Kappa speakers are distorting! Need Advise...
First off, no speaker by itself is IB. You have to create the IB. You sould have said "6x9's respond to low frequencies, so they will sound better with an IB" In this case Zy's 6x9's are on a cargo cover without a baffle, and the low wave is mixing with the high wave, which nearly cancels the low ...

Re: Installing a MP3 CD Player I NEED HELP!!
First you need 2 deck removers (their not really called that), they slide in on the right and left of the deck, and you apply presure towards the center. It sould nudge out little by little, but when it comes loose don't just yank it out. Slowly remove it and make sure all the wires are unplugged ...

And if you do decide to enclose the speakers, use Medium Density Fiberboard. (MDF) NOT OAK.

Re: Infinity Kappa speakers are distorting! Need Advise...
You always want to mount the speaker to the most rigid surface possiple, also make sure there are no air leaks between the front and rear of the speaker basket. Any air leaks will ruin the low frequency of any speaker. And with 6"x9"s you want to use them to their potential, meaning low to high ...

Re: stereo comp.
Remember that 12'' subs don't have as low frequency as 18" subs. Therefore your super low bass, lets say between 20-32 Hz, will not be as loud as your 50 Hz bass. Now I don't know about your subs, but if they aren't designed like JL W7's then you got trouble.
