Re: Super, Turbo & Nitrous?

That's the whole thing Visual. I would be able to just 'go' with a turbo. But with a supercharger, I would be able to 'go' really, really fast. That and it's somewhat unique to have a S/C MX-3

Re: Super, Turbo & Nitrous?
A/C is already out. Although the last few days here in Edmonton have been really hot (record setting high temperatures...) so I'm kinda regretting it...

In Edmonton?
I'm just trying to find out if there are enough MX-3 owner's in Edmonton to have a meet somewhere. Just add a reply to this post if you live in Edmonton or the greater area (St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Sherwood Park, etc..) and wether or not you'd be interested in meeting.
I've got a '93 GS (it's b...

Re: Oil light flickering?
A quick cheap possible fix could be replacing your oil pressure sensor. Just before I noticed I had almost no oil in my MX-3, the oil light was doing the same. Check out the thread "Oil Pressure Switch" in this very forum for some info on how to do it.
Hope that solves it...

Re: Super, Turbo & Nitrous?
Well, I'm pretty set on installing a supercharger. One of the reasons being is that there are'nt alot of super-charged MX-3's out there.
Thanks for the info VisualXTC
MX-K, if you want some parts, I'll see what I can do. Give me a shout on ICQ
ICQ#: 11193001
or try my cell:
(780) 953-29...

Re: Oil Pressure Switch
I had the same problem. The oil pressure sensor seems to wear out and leak from the small poppit near where the wire connects. I went to a UAP/NAPA auto parts store and bought one for $3.00 CDN (the company I work for gets great deals from UAP). There's a special tool you can use to get the oil pres...

Water-Pump Warning
After having to go through all the following myself, I figured I'd warn you guys about possible problem with the MX-3's water pump.
It all started one day when I decided to let my girlfriend drive my car. I have no idea what she did, but she must have been really bagging the s--- out of the car. ...

Re: Super, Turbo & Nitrous?
Sorry about some incorrect facts in my last post. It was made very early in the morning, and I was rushing to get it done before I left for work. Thanks VisualXTC for pointing out that the KL-ZE V6 displaces 2.5l and not 2.0l like I posted.
Now, when I installed the KL-ZE, I removed the AC. There...

Re: Super, Turbo & Nitrous?
I'm going to try and reply to all those posts (in descending order)...
Q from Sonicxtacy02
My Answer: Well, cash is no issue (my limit for this project is somewhere in the $25,000 CDN. range), and I work for a company that's willing to come up with the drive-train (the gear-heads I work with lo...

Super, Turbo & Nitrous?
I may not be totally up to date on how each of these work exactly (I've studied the basics... lol). But would it not be possible to hook up each of these to one car? Here's the way I see it could work:
The Supercharger:
In short, it sends a whole lot of air into the engine, thus allowing the en...
