Re: On eBay: GTX BP Turbo Engine

I was recently looking carefully at the turbo on this engine. It appears to be a GT-R, not the standard GTX! I would bid if I had the duckets. damn it!

Re: southeast meet?

Hey Ashley, I would do it in Jacksonville. Its only a 6 hour drive from Atl. I'll see if the guys here would'nt mind driving down there for a weekend. Would late June or early July be too soon?

Re: car running rich

You should check the condition of the spark plug. The gap is critical for burning all the fuel. It should be 1mm or .040". A larger gap will make it run rich. check ignition timing and it would'nt be bad to run a fuel cleaner also.

Re: TN meet

There is actually a shorter drive to Memphis from Atl. Last year myself and family drove back from Arkansas, passing through Memphis going through Alabama and finally GA. It was quicker than taking the interstate from Memphis - Nashville - Atl.<P>Barry, when will you host the Memphis meet?

Re: bpt question

The hybrid vj-20 turbo is good for 28 psi, or roughly 300hp. It starts spooling hard at 3000+ rpm. And as far as I know from Corksport, they have sold 3 already. One makes 230hp to the wheels at 12psi on an Escort GT. It has a ball bearing center section mated to a T-3 compressor housing. The compre...

Re: B6T ppl: Is it worth it?

No, the b6 head will not fit the bp block. the bp engines are 22mm longer than the b6's. the b6's have webbing on the block like that of a honda b16. The BPT does not have that webbing. And yes, the miata intake manifold will bolt up. What does a diff. intake have to do with a hole in the hood?

Re: TN meet

Hey Milkman, the Mx-3 owners club of Atlanta (MOCA) is hosting a meet later on this summer. You should try and come down.

I like the idea of Orlando. I've made the 10 hour journey before but being a part of MOCA, we're trying to get one in Atlanta.

Re: problem at start up

Sorry about my "rude" post Miller, but like Torpedan said, the choke is one of 7 major parts of a carburator. All Mx-3's are fuel injected engines. With this said, idle speed problems can be hard to trace. You're timing could be off, vaccum leaks, egr valve, clogged fuel system, just too n...

Re: problem at start up

C'mon man. The "CHOKE IS STICKING". Do you know what a choke is? We live in the 21st century. Take it to a shop and have them look at it.

Re: MazdaSpeed

I'm looking at the same setup in the future(rear arm kit and front bushings). Should be a worthwile setup and everything will bolt in. As for the price, it seems a bit high but it's Mazdaspeed. Just got the MS struts and will see how well they work. I'm going autocrossing soon.

Re: Air / Fuel Gauge

Off the O2, black wire is signal, the other 2 white wires are ground and power. The black signal is where you need to tap into for the gauge to light up back and forth. Correct me if I'm wrong.
