check corksport. they have some upgrades. some other things for some "serious" hp would be aftermarket rods and pistons, metal head gasket, ignition coil, stand alone engine management system, gt-r intake manifold, gt-r turbo manifold with turbo upgrade, perforamance cams, port and polish, valve job, BIG front mount i/c. there's probably more out there....but i just woke up not too long ago.

it helps a lot. it's a custom turbo that fits the gt-r manifold. this means that you have to get the gt-r manifold as well.<p>[ May 30, 2002: Message edited by: cre8v mx3 ]

The hybrid vj-20 turbo is good for 28 psi, or roughly 300hp. It starts spooling hard at 3000+ rpm. And as far as I know from Corksport, they have sold 3 already. One makes 230hp to the wheels at 12psi on an Escort GT. It has a ball bearing center section mated to a T-3 compressor housing. The compressor blades are also changed. This is a big jump over the stock vj-20.

well i know that there is a turbo upgrade for the gtx bpt that uses a t-28 turbo hybrid and pushes about 285 or so to the wheels from what derrick was telling me. the turbo upgrade is about $1,100.00 and bolts up perfectly but still i would be prepared to have it looked at and make sure it fits "perfectly". basically it sounded like a t-28 guts into the vj-20 housing but i could be wrong.
