air filters!?

"The Hose That Is Connected To The Bottom Of The Air Box, Do Not Plug It Or Leave It Free. It Needs Filtered Air So Just Make A Small Filter And It Will Be Fine" i saw this on mx-3.com i put a filter on i took off the duct on top of the raditor fan and a little box under the coolant res. tank two questions: 1) what hose that is connected to the bottom of the air box?<BR>2) that little box under the coolant res. what is that?

The little hose your refering to goes to the egr so it can breath filtered air. <P>The littel box attached to the air cleaner is a resonator..
