I've got a 95 Mx-3, green with an fx front bumper, 1.8L escort gt motor, 93 mx tranny, act extreme 4 puk clutch, 15" kosei k1 wheels with potenza re730 tires. What's it worth? Make a good enough offer and i'll consider

Given how easy it was I could only assume it has been, but all the posts I read on what you need, you always see need tranny from a proto lx, need ecu... I'm not as impressed by this engine though. I had a turbo 1.6L dohc but first I melted a piston, then the oil pump went out- new crank needed ...

Just wanted to tell everyone I did what you all say is imposible, BP engine into a 95 RS which use to have a 1.6, I did it with stock tranny, stock ecu, and stock flywheel/clutch. It can be done

I have a manual tranny from a mazda protege/ ford escort gt 1.8L dohc. It will come with a flywheel, NEW clutch set (disc, plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, pilot tool), axels-both sides including intermediate shaft, all three mounts, and any thing else you can think off. Perfect for a BPT ...

Just get a distributor from either a protege or ford escort 1.8L DOHC, the dist will fit perfectly on th 1.6 dohc head. find the two wires on the tps that are for closed throttle switch and splice them into the wires for 1.6 sohc tps. the dohc WILL run on the sohc com if you get the right dist.

If you are trying to install it on a 4cyl, you are wasting you time. first off you need to buy the tach adapter, i don't remember which one, but i know it's the more expensive one. second you need to take apart the dist. brek apart the coil and make a connection before an internal resistor. call msd ...

take the car up to your local AutoZone. they'll check the codes for free. otherwise under the hood, driver side by the fire wall is your diagnosic port, use a paper clip and connectthe gnd and the ten pins, count the flashes, long then quick for two digit codes only quick for single diget codes ...
