MX3new, If you do have coolant in your oil your oil will have a creamy colour to it, much like "puss" and yes, it will smell like s---. I once drove from Toronto to Londo with blown rad hose, I did not notice until I stropped for gas in Woodstock that's when I heard the distinctive hissing...

It may very well be your timing, if your timing belt has jump or is even off by one "tooth" it will end up creating that propblem, you might also want to check that you don't have any vacuum leaks. I recently replaced the motor in mine (V6) and had that problem, i hooked and vacuum pressur...
