Re: okay guys i need everyones help that put in a KLZE !
I think he started writing before you posted, if you look at the times it makes sense and has happened to me on a few occasions. The two temp sensor issue... my setup is backwards apparently, cause my fan works awesome, but my car runs rich. Do you guys know what the forward sensor is called or have...

Re: My project, all help welcome.
I had the coil replaced a few years ago but it hasn't gotten much use, the cap has not been replaced nor the rotor so they are both likely candidates. Thanks i'll try those first

Re: My project, all help welcome.
Got my plug wires today, installed them right away. Misfired a bit then ran fine, however after it warmed up the engine got worse. Once it's at operating temp it misses just as bad as it did before. My dad told me this is symptoms of a bad coil. Also now it seems to have a lot less get up and go, fo...

Re: My project, all help welcome.
Ordered my aurora plug wires today, $178 with express shipping. Not bad considering the NGK's are $160, while the aurora's are 8.5mm and explain their product and plug wires in general pretty thoroughly. I want to add an external coil and the HEI mod but currently do not have the know how. I'll have...

Re: My project, all help welcome.
Took off my disty cap and sprayed it with WD-40 to displace any water that may have gotten in there. Also inspected the suspected #3 cylinder problem. There was a little water inside the hole as well, not much but a small amount. I WD'ed it as well and then blew it out with compressed air, I taped u...

Re: My project, all help welcome.
Got some numbers,
The ECU is a KL55, the VAF is a KL02 and the throttle body is a KL68. I checked the throttle body of my other ZE and it's a KL68 as well.
I made the mistake of power washing the engine bay and now it misses like crazy. However when it's cold it runs much better

My project, all help welcome.
So instead of hijacking a guys thread I've decided to create my own. My goal is to make my car as best as possible while taking current budgets into consideration. I've owned the car for approx 10 years and can never see myself getting rid of it, so time is not really a factor. The run down... Body-...

Re: Which cams to use
fabrication skills = 0, no access to a machine shop for personal use either.
probably gonna cost someone like myself a bunch more....unless someone wanted to sell their setup. hmmm, what kind of numbers are we talking about here for a stock ze with itb's? is it worth it is what im trying to get at.

Re: STOCK K8 EXHAUST MANIFOLD VS. HEADERS ON A KLZE
I am with you on that ^^ If you are dead set on stock manifolds aren't the 2.5 OE manifolds larger than the K8's!? If that is the case then that would be the option I would go with. I don't think they are, well.. I didn't notice any difference in size when I swapped the kl's rear manifold for the k...

Re: Should I do a KLG4 Crank Swap?
Your right, the 626 isn't a high performance car, but the kl-g4's made 170hp, where all the other non jap KL's made 160-165. Also the kl-g4's were made in 97-98+ I believe, so one could say a successor to the kl engine family. I had pipe dreams of building a kl and had planned on using the kl-g4 cra...

Re: crate??
Are you talking about mx-3/mx-6 crate engines? I've never heard or seen anything to confirm or deny that but seeing how Mazda wanted 400 for a timing belt kit I could only imagine what a brand new motor would cost

Re: K8 ecu with the ze
Yes the stock k8 ecu will work in conjunction with the stock je50 vaf, it wont run great but it will run good enough to give you an idea of the power difference and till you find a better setup.

Re: aus eunos 30x to klde 2.5 help plz
I installed a set on my ZE from Ebay, they installed just fine onto the engine but you will encounter problems when you try to install the collector pipe, onto the headers once the motor is in the car due to clearance issues with the oil pan and crossmember, however a muffler shop should be able to ...

Re: 94 MX-6 ECU and KL-02 VAF question
My bad....so I'm thinking I'm having the same problem as another member here, one of my vris do work, it's the one closest to my passenger side, which I believe is the blue connector. On my ecu it's written that its a 94 626 atx ecu...funny cause the other member said his was from a 626 as well. Wel...
