Re: Removed rear wiper

I just used 3M double sided mounting tape and cut where it just touches the top of the plastic and it sticks to the window.

Re: A Realistic look at MX-3's

I don't think the KL MX-3 would have taken sales from the Miata or the RX-7 those people want legitimate sports cars. There is a reason that the RX and the Miata are still in production compared to the MX-3 and MX-6. The sports cars have a luxury attached to them. The Mercury Grand Marquis, the Ford...

Re: Interesting mx3

Oh yeah there was some rust on it. When I was getting into my cousins car a red grand am some lady asked if we were going to paint his car like that. I held in my laughing until we were on the road.

Interesting mx3

It has been a while since I have been on here, I have been busy with work and school and sadly no time for my car :(. But when I drove though Missouri I couldn't help but take a picture of this mx-3 and share it with you guys. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u229/michaelcapossela/mx3camo-1-1.jpg

Re: When Ricers Attack!!!!!

Am I going crazy or is that car missing its mass air flow sensor?

Personally I am not a fan, but that is the price you live when doing anything to a car. Not everyone, or in some cases anyone, is going to like what you do, but as long as you like it who cares what everyone else thinks.

Re: Seeking Advice - Help me decide

That is also with a body shop doing it, rust is not too hard to get rid of. If it is a front quarter panel of a hood the hoods are roughly $50 and the fenders are $35 at a pick and pull. The areas that do not unbolt if is is rotted clean though the right way to fix it is cut another section out of a...

Re: K8 Crank vs KL crank?

Now, if you were building an all out racing engine, and planning to slap a big turbo on it, that'd be a great way to decrease your CR (if you don't use longer rods), so you could increase the boost accordingly. That is, of course, assuming the K8 crankshaft can take the abuse, which is a whole diff...

Re: My air conditioner isnt working and it's 100 degrees out

The next step, if you choose to do it yourself, a shop would be easier, is it could either be a bad low pressure switch or a bad clutch, which if its the clutch it is easier to go to your local pick and pull, and grab another compressor. There is a wire running behind the pulley on the compressor, i...

Re: My air conditioner isnt working and it's 100 degrees out

You can buy a nice guage set for about $40 and that has high and low pressure gauges. I wouldn't recommend touching the high side unless you know what you are doing or have someone who can show you. The easiest way is they make a can where it comes with the low pressure gauge on it $30, I am not sur...

Re: My air conditioner isnt working and it's 100 degrees out

Check your 134A (the stuff that keeps it cold) pressure, and it supposed to be at about 25-30lbs on the low side (blue side) and see if it has pressure. If there is a leak or it doesn't have pressure the compressor will not turn on thus not engaging it, which is your symtom. It could be either one, ...

Re: Kl Cam Timing

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u229/michaelcapossela/DCAM0069.jpg (the other mark is on the other side) This is how it looks after the gear was put on the right side on the right/back side. So I have to take the cams off and reset them up where it meets in the middle, and the timing mark. It is...

Re: Kl Cam Timing

I have the compression up, but I am still not sure if the cam marks are perfect, I made a newb mistake of putting the cam gear, that goes to the timing belt on backwards. I had two L's. When I shifted the cam it rose up where the two dots are now just touching the metal piece that goes over the righ...

Kl Cam Timing

So I have a KLZE, that I have recently rebuilt. The cam timing directions were a bit confusing in the all-data and the Chiltons manual. So I lined up both the cams with the dots touching right next to the bottom of the heads as shown in the books picture. I did this with cylinder 1 facing up, and th...
