Re: B6D timing issue
If I remember correctly, those are the timing marks for the BP engine not the B6. Try page 85 in the online shop manual, the timing marks for the B6 are shown there. It's not easy to read, but the E on the intake cam should match the E on the engine, and the I on the exhaust cam should match the I o...

[WTB] B6 Timing belt covers (all three)
I need to replace the timing belt covers after the timing belt came off track.
If anyone has all three in good shape for a B6 DOHC, please let me know.
Thanks,
Vol

Re: Hey guy's.. long time no see (and quick ?) (adjustable cams?
Not a lot, but it can be annoying getting it all off. You will need to... -loosen the tension on the power steering/air conditioning belt (4-5 bolts need loosening on the water pump for a '95, '92-'93 may be different, ymmv), then remove the ps/ac belt -loosen the water pump pulley bolts (but do not...

Mine are both arriving this Friday. I am a very happy farmer. :D 1953 Allis Chalmers WD (27ish HP, 3-point hitch mod, aftermarket wide front conversion) 1951 Minneapolis Moline ZB (32ish HP, Front loader, custom rear wheel weights) They look rough now, but they work hard and run great! I'll be resto...

Do you have a set of timing belt covers (3-pieces) in good shape?
If so, how much shipped to 40299 zip code?

Re: Tires + Rims - Opinion?
I have Hankook iPike 309 snow tires, and they are very good tires!
Although, as was stated before, not all tires made by the same company are the same, I would not hesitate to recommend Hankook tires to anyone.

Good to hear you have what you want.
I don't remember what year Miata my rims came from, but I believe it had the pop-up headlights, so that should be an early '90s or so IIRC.

Re: 14" Miata rims.. Will they fit?
I'm currently running 14" Miata steel wheels on my MX-3 right now, and they work perfectly. The code on the wheels are slightly different (where my MX-3 code ended with "a", the miata code ended with "b" or something like that). They have the same diameter, and width, but th...

Re: Fuel Consumption on the 4 cyl
All stock '95 RS 44.3mpg on my last tank. Methods used: -commute outside of rush hour times -accelerate slowly -shift before 2,500rpm -drive in 5th as much as possible (even in 35mph areas) -change from snow tires to summer tires (Hankook iPike 409 - winter, Yokohama A550H - summer) -EOC when possib...

hppwnd,
Thanks for such a great write up, and being so generous with your time in answering all our questions!
I know I really appreciate the detail you gave and the time and thought you obviously put into this, and I'm sure a lot of other people do also.

Re: Optimum tire pressure?
What about the manufacturers recommended on the door sill? 42 psi sounds high to me. That number is a compromise between ride comfort -handling - fuel economy. Lower pressure improves ride comfort at the expense of the other two, while higher pressure improves handling (stiffer sidewalls) and fuel ...

Re: Optimum tire pressure?
There is a lot of discussion about this, but I haven't heard of anyone wearing out the inside of their tires recently. Older bias-ply tires did have that problem, and older radials could also, but newer ones (like the last 5 years or so) don't seem to wear the middle excessively as long as you're st...
