I live in Ontario and am having a heck of a time trying to find an air induction pipe for my mx3. I have the 1.6L DOHC engine. I need to know if anyone has any input of where I can buy a kit or even the pieces of the kit (pipe, soft plastic parts to go over the throttle body to a pipe). I am using a...

Re: 96 mx3 need lowering info

If someone could give me the link to a great writeup of the zx2 struts that would be helpful.
I have read some writeups regarding the zx2 struts, though these are only OEM struts correct??
What about aftermarket(performance) struts? What struts and springs would be best for ride and drop?

well I contacted gripforce clutches and they informed me that they do NOT carry a clutch for the 1996 mx3 dohc engine (1.6l)
I asked them if the 95 clutch would fit and they informed me that it would not. So that kinda eliminates anything on ebay since all I can find on ebay are 95 clutch parts.

it is a synchro problem. I have the same trouble with my engine and it is going to cost approx. $2000 to rebuild the tranny and install a new clutch (might as well since the tranny is already out)_

my opinion, your piston rings are more likely shot. Best to rip the engine apart give it a good overhaul and see what the problem is

another sad thing is you can't get much more power out of the 4cyl then it has unless you put alot of money into it. I was thinking of adding a turbo onto my 4cyl, though i don't want to custom spend over $3000 to do this. I decided just to upgrade a little things (air intake, better plugs, upgrade ...

put on your thermostat on high, if your windows start to fog up, then your heater core is shot and you need to replace it. U will usually have a smell of coolant (sometimes without any leaks) when your heater core is gone

did you install the clutch? If so (even if you never) did you align the clutch properly. This could cause a lot of your problems you are having
