Re: 1995 auto to manual question (engine harness)
Got the car working. Thanks again. Rewired it and that did it. Auto harness and ecu seem to work fine. Also for b6 dohc engines the axles are compatible but the auto connecting shaft was about a half inch longer and would not fit in the mtx. Luckily I took everything off my old manual a couple years ...

Re: B6 dohc auto to manual question (engine harness) - need
Just been reading again on the engine harness issue. I have a 94 b6 dohc which seems to be the only one which has engine harness issues. Right now i am getting nothing at all when I turn the key after my mtx swap. No dash lights or anything. I have wired it as suggested. It's been 5 days of work and ...

Re: 1995 auto to manual question (engine harness)
Thanks for the responses guys. Very helpful. I read in a couple places that I might have an issue with the vris using the atx harness. Does anyone know if this is true? Also should I stick with the atx ecu or use my mtx one. Hoping to get started on this tomorrow.

1995 auto to manual question (engine harness)
I have been trying to find a good post on a 1995 auto to manual conversion and can't find a good step by step. (Probablydue to my searching skills) My main concern is that I do not have the mtx engine harness. I have the ecu. Can someone please help direct me. My outo trans just died and I have ...

It is most likely your axle. When it is going it usually makes a crunching noise when turning sharply. It usually will only do it when turning one direction(sometimes both left and right though). You can also jack up the problem side and grab the wheel at the sides then top and bottom to check for ...

I am going to look into the fuel delivery system but am thinking it's not the fault. (Could be dead wrong of course) I just replaced the fuel filter which wasn't much fun(Got my hand stuck about 20 times)

I replaced the actual coolant temp sensor. (2 pin connector with at least 3 wires, probably 4, can't remember)
I guess it could be vacuum. There are no leaks but I did notice something odd. The EGR valve with the sensor on it has the vacuum hose coming out of the bottom plugged with a bolt. I think ...

Hesitation and fluctuating idle. Running out of ideas.
Idle problem started recently with idle occasionally dropping to a point just above stalling. Also hesitation while accelerating.
Cleaned throttle body which did not fix problem. Instead the idle now jumps all over the place still almost to the point of stalling.
It is not my coolant temp sensor ...

Brake Line Question
Not sure if I am in proper forum for this one.
I need to replace my brake line (might as well do both whille under there) from the engine bay to where they connect in the rear of the car. Anyone know what size or gauge line I should use. Also what kind of length I may need.
Also is there any way to ...
