How do I deactivate my DRL (Daytime Running Lights)?

Just to let you know, it is illegal to remove or deactivate any factory safety feature on a car. If the car came with them, you can be charged if you disconnect it, whether it is drl's, airbags, abs, seatbelts, etc.....
