VHT caliper paint- comes in brembo wannabe red, go with anything silver, razzledazzle blue and probably boring a-- black too.

Im pretty sure VHT stands for VeryHighTemperature. Its 12.99 at your local auto store.

Re: Drain all coolant to replace coolant temperature sensor?

If your worried about air bubbles it wouldn't hurt to do that. Park it with
the radiator cap at the highest point and let it idle to temperature, filling
with new coolant if it falls below cap level.

Re: Drain all coolant to replace coolant temperature sensor?

Put a couple paper towels under the existing sensor and unscrew it. Screw in the new sensor fairly quickly and you wont loose much coolant at all (maybe an ounce or two if your fast). Make sure not to overtighten it. Test your coolant and if it checks out dont worry about draining it. PS - dont let ...

Re: Left TO RIGHT

It would be alot more fun to import a front clip with some beast of an engine in it and make it 'fit' in a car it never originally came in.

Re: Mi|<e - 94 RS BPT

The idle is DRL / Headlight related for sure. I unplugged the DRL unit and the idle is rock solid when the lights are not on. I just need to figure out why and whether its a simple grounding issue or if something has gotten water in it and rusted or just the EGR. There is no EGR on the BP but I know...

Re: building a 250-300hp bp/b6 my idea's need input as 1st time

I used the belfab package on my rebuild and was quite pleased with it. The main benefit is the pistons have the oil squirter clearance pre cut into them so there is no need to modify anything / remove the squirters. It came with pretty much everything you need to rebuild including gaskets. There is ...

Re: speed limiter

First try not to post more than once about the same thing, you may tick someone off. Second you have a B6 Auto and your wanting a higher top speed and redline (from other post) ? That is likely not possible with the B6 auto as its kind of a craptastic tranny. Your best bet would be to swap to a manu...

Re: gas tank and float/meter

The gas tank holds 50 Liters or 13.2 US Gallons. There is a hollow plastic floater attached to the fuel pump which indicates how high the gas is in the tank. When you corner fast the gas sloshes around and can throw a high or a low reading depending on turn direction. Nothing to worry about just rea...

Getting 35 MPG on my rebuilt BP doing silly engine break-in driving in the city.
It pulls great, lots of pep.

Thats gonna go down some soon as it gets turbo'd though :(
