Re: Get your timing belt on correctly the first try
Hi guys, I tried this method today and I found a little problem at the crank gear. At 180º from the alignment mark there is no tooth to match the paint, is a "hole", so you can put the painted mark in front or behind it, around 170º or 190º, but never at 180º from the alignment mark on the...

Re: Aftermarket crankshaft pulley for service belts
Ha. I'd send it back, honestly. You can't just fix that. The cheap-o ones have been known to come apart too, often with catastrophic results. I can fix that easily, just new holes and screws turning the plate to match the original pulley. Can´t imagine how a solid alloy pulley that just moves acces...

Aftermarket crankshaft pulley for service belts
Hi, I´m planning to change the original pulley from my ZE to an aftermarket and lighter one with lower ratio, but there is a difference between this and the original. Is not the Unorthodox, just an unbranded one from ebay I bought years ago. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ky2Z_rIcNmU/TyBva9eb3ZI...

Re: Weird problem under hard acceleration
I found the problem! It was the ditributor, the coils has good resistance values but seems like the magnets, the capacitor or any other electric part was getting down the engine.
Thanks for the contributions.

Re: Weird problem under hard acceleration
Some new test done today, no results... Cleaned all electrical conectors Reset the TPS Disconnected the IAC Re-check for vacuum leaks (I need to put a gauge on it to check it perfect) Removed exhaust, only headers plugged, the catalithyc converter is fine Here is the video, maybe it helps: http://ww...

Re: Weird problem under hard acceleration
I tried another MAF and checked the fuel presure, all fine.
Tomorrow I will try the IAC trick, will clean all contacts, reset the TPS and disconect the exhaust line after the headers, hope some of that works, I am running out of ideas...

You can notice the difference between soft an hrd acceleration.

Re: Wierd problem under hard acceleration
Get underneath the car, and disconnect the exhaust pipe, right in front of the catalytic converter, and try again. If that solves your problem, your catalytic converter is clogged. En caso de que no hayas entendido algo, desconecta el tubo de escape, justo delante del convertidor catalitico. Si eso...

Re: How to store tune up data on KLZE ECU
I know about the ECU reset, I allways did it before any tune up.
Anyone knows if timing should stand at 10º on any RPM range?

Re: How to store tune up data on KLZE ECU
I try to exit diagnostic mode this morning with and without the engine started, and my timing ups to 15º allways, RPM ups from 750 on diagnostic to 1000 in normal mode. The timing should advance if the engine revs up? is normal that I got 10º at 650RPM and 15º at 1000RPM?

How to store tune up data on KLZE ECU
Hi, I have a problem tuning up my ZE, seems like the ECU doesn´t store the information after exit diagnostic mode, idle and timing go off. I read some post and I find that some ECUs needs to remove the jumper wire before stop the engine, this is true? how can I know what is the correct method for my...

Re: my ZE don´t start...
I disasembled timing and found the problem. The timing belt was broken along it and the back camshaft was around 75º out of point.
Now that I disasembly some part I will rebuilt the engine with new gaskets, piston rings and valves work.

Re: my ZE don´t start...
yeah, I really checked everithing... The fuel pump is working good, and the fuel is the same I allways use.
Could be a bad camshaft or knock sensor that the diagnostic cant find?
