Ford Probe engines are the same and will be the cheapest considering that the Probe was produced in much higher numbers than any of the mazda cars that came with the engine.

You can get the 2.5L KLDE out of Probe's, Mx-6, 626 and Millenia's.

 It's the first sticky in the "V6 FAQ" section, how could you miss it?!? On top of that it is probably one of the most discussed topics on this forum.

He probably didn't draw the connection between the KLZE and MX-6 engine. I wouldn't either, if I didn't know what the engines are called. Technically speaking, there are no words "MX-6 engine" in the titles of the stickies.

Yeah, you're definitely going to gain performance. Nothing amazing, but still MX-6/Probe GT's 160 HP vs. MX-3's 130 HP.

I forgot about the v6faq my bad. How much would it cost to buy a curved neck manifold? because probably all the mx6 or probe engines out there have straight neck

I would say the gain is very significant. Besides, the reg KLDE is 164hp, and the Millenia is 170hp

And upgrade the clutch to handle the torque

And while oyur at it, wouldn't be a bad idea to do the belts, waterpump, etc.

you make a very good point!

While the motor is out its the best time to do:

Timing belt
tensioner
water pump
and other misc belts and seals.

Although that is good, all the external accessories will fit, i'm not sure about the clutch, if that was touched at all. Although not usually necessary, if it hypothetically was, even if it's new, if it's an OEM replacement, it wont handle the power for long, you'll need to get one that will, even the opinions of the Probe/Mx-6 owners is that an OEM 2.5L clutch is questionable. A stage 1 from a reputable clutch manufacturer is usually more than sufficient, pending on how you drive it of course (and a proper break in is necessary)

Honestly tho, if it that was done a month ago, I'm surprised you didn't do the swap then, would of saved you most of the trouble
