ive got a major problem when im at idle my car is running at 2100 rpm why is it running so high is my maf going out or is it a timing problem? i really need your help guys im not going to give up my baby ive had her for 14 years and shes never let me down and im not giving up on her

HIGH RPM AT IDLE??????????
i have a 93 mx-3 1.6l SOHC for about 2 months the rpm has steadily risen and currently it idles @ 2100rpms the throttle screw is turned down i took it to a mechanic and he says its reading +51 degrees is that BS or is it possible i need suggestions to find out what might be wrong...maybe the maf? im...
