HIGH RPM AT IDLE??????????
i have a 93 mx-3 1.6l SOHC for about 2 months the rpm has steadily risen and currently it idles @ 2100rpms the throttle screw is turned down i took it to a mechanic and he says its reading +51 degrees is that BS or is it possible i need suggestions to find out what might be wrong...maybe the maf? im not sure help me out guys

probably need to reset your TPS.
thats more than just turning a screw
There may be a how-to somewhere, but I dont have the procedure for the SOHC.
It requires jumping GND to TEN in diag mode and using a gap gauge between the stop screw on the v6. maybe similar for the SOHC. maybe others can chime in that have done it.

is that the screw that keeps the cable guide from going all the way backits rolled all the way back.
how do i know if the tps is bad?
