weights

As far as I've read, our stock flywheels are approximately 16-17lbs. What I would like to see is an all titanium flywheel. I have a feeling that would last the life of the car, no matter what. It would be incredibly light and strong.

I actually may be taking the dive this summer and trying the ESC Electric Supercharger by Thomas Knight. There's so much debate about it, some people saying that it could work, thomas knight writing about it himself here, and others saying it's a POS. If i get it, hopefully I'll be able to clear up ...

What if the sunroof doesn't necessarily have trouble sliding, but has a lot of trouble just popping up? I have to push it up while holding the button. Could this also be attributed to a bad alignment or dirty tracks? Motors are expensive.

It is a very good way to go. I'm considering it myself. At what RPM does your turbo spool up? I assume you start to see a decline in fuel economy after it spools. What kind of mpg do you see with that engine?

Not sure what kit you are looking at, but the ESC on boosthead is 1600.

Nitrous will be a continual cost of refilling tanks. A turbo, which is always on, will constantly drink more fuel. The ESC won't tax your engine until you use it, plus it can provide multiple bursts one after another according to Knight. Personally, I can't afford 20 or so mpg around town.

BTW Nope, you may want to check out the thread posted by custom. VERY informative and teasing. Thomas Knight himself posted to clear things up. I May end up going with one this summer.

Ahhh, nice. I did see that thread in my searches, but since it had Eaton in the subject and I had already read a lot about eaton superchargers, I decided not to read that post. Obviously, it had much more to do with the electric supercharger than the thread title revealed.

LMAO!! Holly hell I didn't, but it's good. We're just making it that much better for future searchers. Better than creating a new thread right? Recycle, Reduce, Reuse and close the loop. LOL

BuGS PostPosted: 25 April 2006, 22:51 Post subject: What are you talking about? Did you search here? There are 2 pages of results for Thomas Knight alone. Yes, there are a lot of results for a Thomas Knight search. All of these results deal either with Knight's turbo's, Eaton superchargers, or some...

Thomas Knight ESC Electric Supercharger

Does anyone have any experience with this electric supercharger? There is hardly ANY information about them in these forums. It has been suggested that it may be the first true electric supercharger that can actually produce results. I have read the listing for it and it states that it flows up to 6...

Actually, that Knight electric supercharger weighs around 17lbs total. I'm thinking about getting it, but I'm trying to do more research on it first.

Lol, mine isn't even installed that far down into the "shift hole" as I call it. If that's how far it's supposed to be, then mine isn't far down enough either, but it's still smooth as hell when shifting. Like I said earlier in this thread, I couldn't reinstall the retaining spring after t...
