I am sure this has been covered before, however, when I used the search feature on the site I only found this thread... from EIGHT years ago:
http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.ph ... ht#p162496" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I am sure there are better techniques since 2002. In looking at videos on how to smoke taillights and headlights, I see tinted sheets being used. I have been unable to figure out what these are called, or where to get them. If someone could let me know, that'd be great.; or even better techniques than the sheets. Thanks!

It's the same tint film you would use to do your windows. Vinyl + a heat gun to stretch around corners.

I use VHT NightShade. It has worked great, and you can make it as light or dark as you want.

+1 for VHT nightshade. Stuff does exactly what it's supposed to do and probably just as well as the tint does it.

+1 for VHT Nightshades. Used it plenty of times on plenty vehicles. Never had a problem with an unbalanced look, because I took my time.
If you make three passes on one tail light, make three passes on the second tail light... Simple really...

Re: Smoke Taillights/Headlights
i just did mine a couple hours ago with vht nightshade. it works awesome. however i think i did my side marker lights a bit too thick cuz there not shining threw very much. ill probably just upgrade them to leds and it should be fine.
