Need help identifying plug near ecu 92 sohc

Post by nos92mx3 »

Well in the process of swapping over to a bp harness i came accross a plug on my 92 sohc that i didnt see on the bp harness.

Its a 2 pin connector with a large fat light blue wire and a much smaller blue/black with orange striped wire.
Any idea on what this connector is for?

i remember a plug like on on my BP harness plug some where underneath the dash near the bp ecu..

its been so long since i had a bp harness i had to make a new harness for the TEC II i have ..

if i remember rite it had to do with the motor fan or A/C i remember that thick blue wire and i think thats what it had to do with i could be wrong..

Im in the middle of my BP swap and I didnt have that thing at all, well I think I had a 2 prong but it hooked up to the b6 wires, how many wire sets does your BP harness have, mine had like 5-6 I think. Everything moved over from mine, not one thing missed a spot. My guess is since theres a s--- load of electronics above the ecu could be anything, have you tried looking to see if its your cigarette lighter?

the blue wire is huge, i would guess like 12 gauge powering the A/C and Fans would make sense since the draw from these is quite a bit.
I also found out that the harness was from a 94 EGT, it was also an Automagic, maybe this plug is for the neutral safety switch? No idea, i know how to bypass the problems with the auto harness and plan on hooking up a kill switch inline with the Neutral safety switch as an anti theft, so no biggie.

update:
Solved my own problem, i took apart the old mx3 harness and that large blue wire leads right to the + on the coil (might explain why no spark huh?)and the smaller black and orange wire is part of the grounding circuit.
