Turbo ZE Questions
Turbo ZE Questions
Hey all I am looking around and reading up on turbo's. I plan on getting a ZE and upgrading all internals as well as turbo this thing. I am looking for intense WHP. I plan on spending roughly $10 000 CA for everything hopefully. I am looking for some insight from those that know what they are doing.
Internals
What do I gotta upgrade?
Turbo
Best Idea for this?
I am really in the dark right now for knowledge so anyones assitance is greatly appreciated.

If ur gonna rebuild it you could get a cheaper KLDE and and just get the flat top pistons. Although you wont have the better flowing heads.
* * * * * * 92 Mx3 ZET, rear/front swaybars,srd crossmember,HKS SSQV,cold air,ZE with millinia mani and TB and 280cc injectors,INtrax springs with tokiko HP struts, Grounding kit, MotegiTrakLite wheels 17's at 14lbs each, MSnS Running fuel and spark,HEI mod,T3/To4E .60/.63 stage 3 turbine,3rd gen rx7 fuel pump, SSAC Headers/hotpipes ,38 ext tial wastegate, findanza flywheel, SBC TZ clutch/pressureplate,braille11pound battery/ magnum drilled F/R rotors,projectors, CXmotorsports almuminum intercooler.
If you plan on spending so much money on the build, including internal upgrading, do this:
*use your DE block--bore it at least .020 over to get some nice fresh cylinder walls
*use your DE crank--at least have it polished and possibly cut down if the journals are in bad shape
*buy KLZE heads--swap over DE springs, locks, retainers (or spend a grip on aftermarket goodies)
*buy KLZE cams--or use your DE exhaust cams and use ZE inake cams (or buy turbo cams from an aftermarket dealer)
*buy a KLZE IM--or use your DE, depends if you are running out of cash at this point
*buy a new oil pump--best choice is a genuine OEM Mazda
*buy Toga HP bearings--period
*buy either Millenia S connecting rods or the best of the best, the almighty Pauter rods
*look for either Wiseco or Diamond pistons (order to the compression ratio of your preference)
*unless you are a bad-a--, have a professional assemble the bottom end
*have bottom end blue-printed and balanced
*connect the top end to the bottom end via new headbolts and Mazda headgaskets
