well im not sure whats really wrong with my engine, we were figuring rings but theres no black smoke or anything. im thinkin either bent valves or valve seals. i test the compression about 3 weeks ago and i got : 120, 80, 90, 110. and now i get 140, 120, 116, 126 how can they change that much in 3 weeks? i didnt even do any work on the car lol. thnx

Did you do an oil leakdown test the first time - if there is some oil in the cylinder it will provide a better seal and higher compression numbers.

if the oils green then you eather got a bad headgasket or a craked block, u better hope its the first one, not the second.
if you do have a bad headgastet get both the block and the head check for cracks and get them decked incase their warped.

You may be able to pass if you get that extra catalytic converter just below the o2 sensor - that is the only difference i know of between CA and other state engines.
