I was just looking at megasquirt and so I have a few questions.
Do you really just order the parts and build it yourself? and is it a full stand alone or is it a piggyback setup that requires you to take parts from the bpt ecu?

Megasquirt with the correct firmware (and hardware mods) is a complete replacement ECU.

I have one I`m working on myself.

MEGASQUIRT!

open-source in nature........practically free if you assemble yourself, all kinds of support & additional software you can rig.

the only downside.....it takes a lot of research to learn what you do and don't need.

But thats a downside to any replacement ECU system.....hooking it up will always be a b---- and deciding what features to use/not use is also another chore.

corksport piggy back

Post by purewhitemp5 »

I recently visited corksport and the have a piggyback system that eliminates the vortex mass flow sensor and changes it to a speed density system it allows you to program fuel and timing curves and use bigger injectors. Bit pricey though $695
