do AEM bypass valves kill performance?

Post by ninjajim4 »

Been sifting through old posts, and it seems a little split on the consensus. does putting in a bypass valve really negate any gains from a CAI? To look at it, it doesn't seem very restrictive.

what do you say, experts?

On Protege's and Neon's which I am most familiar with the AEM bypass valve you can expect a 2-3hp loss at the wheels on a dyno.
