Post by nope-mx3 »

Ok, I`ll just make a topic here, and Ì`ll be using this to show progress of the work being done.

First of, The parts I have ready to install and parts that are in the mail to me:

Brembo discs all around
Porterfield R4S pads all around
Konis (at the shop for revalving, shortening etc, being made really stiff)
Ground Controls
Rings for Ground Controls
Hyperco helpersprings
OBX Camberbolts (seems to not fit)
Sabelt 4-point harness x 2
Rollcage (being installed, pics in a few days)
Outlaw engineering thermoblok kit
SRD front control arm bushing
SRD Engine Member Mount Bushings
SS clutch line
Civic projectors (sealed up real good, pics coming soon)
MSD Blaster2 coil + HEI module
Mazdaspeed upper strutmounts
Konig Rated-R 18s (White)
New HEI module & External MSD Blaster2 Coil
Plus some polished valvecovers & Intake manifold
(I also got some other stuff on the way, but thats not being installed this season I think:
Garrett T3 turbo, boostgauge, AFR gauge, Eclipse 3rd gen IC etc)

I`m gonna update this thread often, so stay tuned :)

Rings to weld to the strutbody, for centering the GC`s properly.
And to make them 100% safe.

Damn! Your body styling is identical to what I'm doing, except i have JDM side skirts.

Just out of curiousity, whats with the Mazdaspeed upper strutmounts?

I got them because Mazdaspeed is supposed to make high-quality stuff.
So I guess they`ll make a difference.

Moving along slowly....
Hopefully getting my Konis back first half of next week.
Then everything will be installed, and I`ll be on my way to another shop to get the entire coiloversetup properly weighed.

(as I`ve said, I`m doing this the _right_ way)

The rollcage is custom. I know there is a company in The US who makes really good rollcages for the Mx3 (bolt-in), but the shipping was extreme.

I believe cjthor (Jarid) got a rollcage from that company.

OK Sammy, get off your but and finish your projectors or send em to me and I'll put em to good use...LOL

Nope - Very nice, the attention to detail is quite evident. Very impressive, especially finding suitable rubber trim to finish off around the lights. I'm curious how or where you found that rubber trim.

It`s actually a rear-window rubber gasket from a Volkswagen car.

I got a friend helping me with this, and he works at a bodyshop (suffice to say, he`s brilliant). he had a car at work and had to replace the rear window, so he just removed the gasket in 1 piece :)

I cant wait to see how it turns out when all is done and the rims is on :)

A very nice friend indeed! They sure help in coming up with those great alternative solutions that we probably wouldn't have thought of. Can't wait to see you get it done....well..are we ever really DONE...LOL
