if you shift at redline and dont shift to third gear, it should hit less than 8.5 seconds.

A broken in car is faster than a brand new car. There's no way in hell my car's takes 10 seconds. That's automatic Accord 4-cyl. territory.

I wouldnt knock accords that much some of them would suprise you.

Either way stock mx-3s are not quick 10 seconds does sound way more accurate than 8.5 I could see it being in the mid to high 9s though.

No way in hell. If you're running that slow to 60, your car needs a tuneup, or you're shifting like a granny. Especially considering you only need one shift to get to 60 - it'll do a little over 60 MPH in second gear.

1992 Mazda MX-3 GS 9.2 16.8
1993 Mazda MX-3 10.3 17.6

Guess it needs work out of the box. Rings dont last forever. Most of the motors on this fourm are not in there prime's either.

That still seems too slow. My old 93 Sentra XE could do a 9.2 0-60, and the GS was made to compete against SE-R. I seem to remember the GS being a couple tenths behind the SE-R. 9.2 for the GS sounds more like its 5-60 time, not 0-60.

Wow! I got addicted to that site. I was comparing my est. 14.5 w/ modded ZE to some of those times, and it looks like a stock early 90's Mustang Cobra would be around the same times! Then again, where are you gonna find a stock Cobra that's not driven by some I'm-past-forty-but-I-still-want-to-look-young-so-I-got-a-facelift-and-a-new-car type?

Oh yeah, I have a stock ATX 92 RS too.
