It is meant to work on the SOHC, not the DOHC. You should have absolutely no modification on a 92 (which is SOHC). But why would you spend $70 on a system that you can make for $20 - $30 that is just as effective? Making it yourself isnt hard...get some pipe and piece it together. A 30 minute job if you know what you're doing. But hey, each to their own.

heh thats the thing, I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to my engine, I know the basics of car maintenence but for performance I'm a retard, I can handle everything else about a car execpt the engine, a to z except e, so actually I'm probably going to need help to put THIS one on after I spend $70 for it, unless one of you guys wants to make one for a 92 SOHC and I'll send you $50 heh

Damn, wish I had an SOHC to make one off of, then I would take up that offer.

Gah! What need to be modified... and how so?
(DOHC), I have looked EVERYWHERE for a DOHC air intake system.. and found nothing... I don't really have a whole lot of tools at my disposal.. so im pretty limited on how i can modify it... unless you can do it with some tin sheers :p
I believe the only modification will be at the maf. Since the SOHC MAF was square rather then round, they use an adapter plate. You could probibly just not use this part, and it would fit. However, I could be mistaken because I made my own rather then buy this one.

Yes, it will work on DOHC!!!! I bought one, installed on my 94. The Adaptor plate is not needed. The only mod I made was at the throttle body. I cut about 1 inch of the old rubber intake (it was badly cracked inside the ribbed area, hence the upgrade) for a little room by the battery. When I hooked it up the metal tube rubbed my battery, so I allowed some room. Took about an hour and a half. I could do another in 30 mins.
If not broke - don't fix, modify. If broke - fix it right, and make it better.
