prolly no the best thread for discussing it, so ill keep it short .. but what sort of troubles are you having?, I shaved both heads and fitted copper head gaskets, when i rebuilt her with all the of the forgies and shuch for the turbo.. doesn't appear to be to much lag in the belts.. but perhaps now i can have a closer look at it now i am able to actually do something about it if it is out....Oooh she's a pretty lump! That'll be one mint bayThese things are practically worth it for cosmetics! I just happen to need the functionality too
When I was partially rebuilding my ZE I had my heads skimmed. There were some defects from what looked like spark plug tips being smashed into the flat squish area. So I had them skimmed, with the intention of just living with the defects, the machine shop decided to skim them away completely! So I'm probably a few mm less in head height meaning my timing has never been quite right. I saw Leo323 had resolved his problems after a big skim with adjustable cam gears and the rest is historyMr. MX6 wrote:prolly no the best thread for discussing it, so ill keep it short .. but what sort of troubles are you having
