I love it when people compare apples to oranges.
How can you compare two cars that were designed 10 years apart?
Technology has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years....

Re: think about this
these posts are just plain ****ing stupid. STOP comparing two completly different cars. for a car that has come out a decade after the mx, the power that the stock rsx type s puts out is brutal. not knocking anyone who owns the car, just stating my opinion. and people on this board can be quite funny. i mean its a weakly basis that someone is coming on here comparing the mx with some type of 2003 car
peace

Re: think about this
Heres why I dont go out and buy a new car.
1. Why should I pay $20,000+ for a car that goes 15's.
2. Why should I pay $300-400 a month for a car just cause its fast?
3. Why should I pay alot high insurance for that?
MX-3 (92GS) $1500
KLZESWAP $3500 (motor+clutch+flywheel+extras)
Bodykit $1000
Wheels/tires $1000
Exhaust $ 200
ECU $ 200
suspension $ 600
Now theoretically Ive spent $8000 on a (including)car. That will run 14's easily.
and IMO, looks a much better.
With this amount of money, Id probably have no car payment, and the insurace woudl be dirt cheap.
Of course the argument can be well "if I apply this, and this, and this and I'll win".
Think about it, Dollar for dollar, I have $12,000 extra to play with Imagine the possibilities. ...and its not a Honda

Re: think about this
FWD cars are easy to make go fast, that is why there are so many tuners for this platform out there. Unfortunately, they get lump summed in with the ricers. HOW did this turn into an RSX-s vs. the MX-3 debate, lol??
IF I ever plan on having a fast 1/4 mile car, I'd definitely go with a RWD or AWD platform. The MX for me is going to be a fast daily driver in the summer, and occasional let's have fun going vroom vroom fast in a straight line at the track during the season.
I will be moving on eventually to a different platform, but will keep the MX.
