call your police dept and complain. Threaten to file a harrassment claim. Get every cops badge number that pulls you over.
they may just think yer some punk kid. I know you're several years younger than me Steve and even I look young for my age. Whenever I have been pulled over I deffinately notice a change in the cops attitude from when they 1st stop me to after they see my b-day on my license. Then it's all " drive safe and have a nice day". They expect that a younger driver won't question anything. I question everything. In fact I printed out a copy of the Ontario law reguarding nitrous oxide that I keep in my glove box, just in case a cop tries to pull a fast one I have it in writing to show.
[ August 11, 2003: Message edited by: Darren Hyderman ]

I get followed by the police all the time here in sudbury, it gets really stupid sometimes, but ive yet to be pulled over.
they see a modded car and think hey theres a punk kid lets give hm some trouble and teach him a lesson or somethinh stupid like that.
just know the laws regarding cars and stuff so you can defend yourself when you get pulled over

Personally i suggest not to defend yourself in front of a officer. Take the ticket get his name and badge number and take care of it in court. If the law is in your favor you can get it throw out.

IF you throw something back in there face they will let loose.

Depends on wha and how. If you can easilly defend yourself without getting nasty at the cop, than i say so for it, you migh as well prove him wrong on the spot and be on your way than you take a day off of work and lose pay (which is almsot as bad as geting a ticket) to defend a ticket you shouldnt have gotten

i am sorry dude, really. I didnt ment you, maybe cops in your area are really looking to save people or whatever they supposed to do, BUT NOT in my city, they still didnt do nothing about my moms wrecked car, when she was hit and run, i mean how hard is it for a cop to chase guy on foot that just run away??? and now insurance wont pay up and we dont know what to do with car, and were losing money on it, so like I said screw every spokane cop in a**hole. they dont do ****, not for my family anyways, and yes i was targeted by cop, cause i have body kit, cf hood and its painted bright color (se color)

Your cops in Canada must have all gotten the same memo about "that CF hood/hood with hood pins won't crumple in an accident and will chop your head off." This is like the tenth time I've heard that.
If a cop around here said that I'd laugh him all the way back to the station. I don't know if Canadian cops are just bored or what.
As for "selective enforcement", they all do it, otherwise, everybody who drives over the speed limit would be pulled over. Not to mention those cars with highly illegal tint (of which I see 20-30 a day), unsafely lowered suspensions (trucks and Civics riding on bumpstops are common) and other generally unsafe or stupid modifications.

nitrous+oxide+aberta+law
it should give it to you. It's probably similar to Ontario. Here's the layman's law.
It's legal to posess and use N2O for the purpose of racing at a track (obvious) and it is legal to drive on public roads with a nitrous system empty or full as long as the delivery system (braided steel line) is NOT connected to the bottle and cannot be attached from the drivers seat. If a cop suspects that N2O is being used on public roads he/she has the authority to remove and/or dispose of the nitrous system and/or its contents.
I not only disconnect my line but I keep a cap on the end to show how much extra difficulty I'd have to reconnect it.

You shouldn't have to change anything. Go to court and fight it.

Adding a resonator should quiet your exhaust down without having to change mufflers.
