valves ticking

anyone have any luck getting rid of that annoying ticking noise the valves make ?<BR>mine doesn't go away after it's warmed up seems to get louder when i put a load on the engine going up a hill for instance hla going bad maybe ?? any way to replace them <BR>'93 1.6l sohc by the way any advice would be greatly appreciated

i changed my oil and it went away

thanks guys , sounds like a bunch of squirrels running in a cage under the hood will give it a shot and see how she makes out

if the oil doesn't work, add a bottle of<BR>STP 4 CYLINDER OIL TREATMENT...JUST GO TO ANY AUTOPARTS..IT WORK FOR ME...
TO NOS OR NOT TO NOS? THAT IS THE QUESTION

Try using a thinner oil. Mobil1 5W30 or Mobil1 0W30 will help. Amsoil is better, but harder to find. ;)

well tried the engine flush and changing the oil seemed to help a little but still noticeable when putting a load on the engine, any way of checking the hydraulic lash adjusters where do you get them if they are bad ?

try this yellow stuff called risolone. says stops noisy lifters on it. works for me. i use it everytime i change my oil. takes about 50 miles to work in. works for about 2k miles.
