Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
so good news, shes still running! Spent the morning cleaning out the car of most the spare parts, although I still have a Kl long block in the trunk
Was going to get the gf to help pull it out but pretty sure she pulled something so its aiding in my rear traction for a bit longer. However crossing my fingers and put the front lip and strut bars back on for the summer season.
Oh and even more reason to get her painted, had a lovely bloke follow me into a gas station to go off on how I shouldnt be in the left lane doing 65 when he was trying to do 70+ (it was a 55 zone and I may have down shifted when I couldnt see his headlamps in my mirrors he was that close as ppl were blocking me in the right lane ), anyhow long story shortened, pulling out ditzy blonde decided instead of exiting the station she would just reverse back in without looking, so scrape on the front bumper now but no real damage except she crushed her rear quarter in(told her to have a nice day and just use her mirrors next time no need to get her insurance involved, one benefit of a panda car). Overall, lovely day in paradise

Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
Next mod on the way, definitely need to pick up a better phone so I can get some pictures on the fly. Pulling up to the toll exit as the car sputtered to a halt. Thankfully a tech from work lives on the same route and was kind enough to give me a tow past the tolls although Im sure Ill be hearing about it at work the rest of the week. Civic to the rescue and one more distributor later and she was running again, sigh, time to give in and do the HEI mod.
Well either that or a front tow hook, its getting tiresome pulling off the lip for all these tows...

Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
So I had a few moments to do some work on the car after real work, thanks again to superK for the mail!
ground off the rusted bolt edges at work first
was originally worried Ild have to do some cutting to the support, thankfully not but what a tight fit(insert puns as needed)...
Hardest part was bolting the ps cooler back on, might have to go to something a bit more modern in the future.
End of the day, I think she looks a whole lot better and its straight up functional even with my lip back on, woot! Now to paint the rest white so it will really pop, because at the end of the day, Because Racecar!

Nice update! The tow hook looks good! Somehow, I feel you need some clear lenses in the front..

Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
HEI MOD DONE!
Just got the last part I needed to finish up my HEI mod. Just kidding, lifetime warranty and I have another cardone reman I can exchange for a spare, I am done messing with all those extra wires when a spare disty fits in the glove box
So if anyone is interested I have a modified cap, ZE cap, Standard truck coil all up for grabs. As for the ignition modules they might just become target practice for all the aggrivation. -Here's looking to a brighter time ahead (literally LOL, updates next week ish) and there is a small AutoX event second sunday in August I might try now that I know I dont have to worry about my ignition failing.

Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
So got tired of my summer tires leaking from weatherchecking and the fact that they were so low, serviced, installed the snows a bit early and... ..Found my coolant overflow starting to overflow! Yay headgasket time for the K8 , wish I could say Im shocked but it is a K series...

Re: Sleeper6's Gold 92GS
Got bored and finally uploaded some pics from summer, pre paint with the new hood before winterizing
Lots of prep in the back yard
Almost finished, weather started to get colder but not bad for 4 coats of rattle can in the back yard (first 3 coats are all primer)

I really like that lip you have.
It's very rare, I only know about 3 or 4 still in existence.
