Wow 11 months and no updates from me. That is probably mostly due to the fact that is much easier to just upload pics directly from my phone to the mx-3.com Facebook page. Ask to join if you are interested: https://www.facebook.com/groups/10297867052/

Regardless I still want to keep my worklog updated for the archive haha :D I'm still very serious about both of my cars and am actually very close to completing the International Project (hard to believe... :o  )

I'm also going to throw some more pics up in my racing thread here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=69477
Not sure if I will get to the videos - I need to get some software to edit the length before uploading to YouTube... I have some of my first autocross videos out there: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCet_ZqWoRzfqfKlnX0UN4Og

Anyways, on to the update!

Projects completed in 2013:
• Raced at 8 events
• Attended several meets: Portland Red Door Meet, Mt. St. Helens Windy Ridge Cruise, Euro NL with Whitefinish, Cascade Locks / Corksport, Tigard Cars and Coffee
• Replaced Timing Belt and Water Pump
• Re-Primed the entire car
• Removed JDM side skirts and had them repaired
• Removed rear wraparound mud guards (until I reinstall the skirts)
• Swapped hatches with Race Car - from MS Wing / AZ-3 Indiglo to Wraparound Wing / Eunos Indiglo
• Installed MazdaSpeed MS-01S 16x7 rims with CF MS center caps and Dunlop Direzza Z2 205/50/16
• Installed Outlaw Thermo-Block IM Spacers and while doing this learned I actually do have KL-31 cams!
• Installed H4 motorized hi/lo 6000k HID headlights
• Various parts acquired: 2 sets of KL-DE cams to have reground at some point, Autozam center caps for GS 5 Spoke rims, AZ-3/Presso Parts Catalogs, MS License plate frames, Brand New rear trunk cargo cover, OEM Mazda plastic headlamp covers, JDM Power Folding Mirrors push button switch, LHD and RHD lighted outer door handles, CF overlay covers for outer handles, Eunos key and horn button, Headlight Washer Sprayer system (button, 2x sprayers, larger resevoir and pump and plumbing tubes), Diamond Mazda logo steering wheel center portion, Eunos large embossed SS sills, Ronal Teddy Bear 14x6 rims

I have a lot of projects still planned for this car, maybe I will get to them in 2014?
• Install new fuel filler plastic protector
• Re-install JDM side skirts
• Re-install rear wrapround mud guards
• Re-wire front/rear foglight switches (left of steering wheel)
• Install Headlight washer sprayer system (including switch on right side of steering wheel)
• Re-wire big red hazard light switch
• Re-wire cruise control switches to Miata style horizontal switch
• Install and wire both sides lighted outer door handles with CF overlays
• Modify Driver's Side Power Folding Mirror, wire heated element to defrost button and re-wire to push button switch viewtopic.php?f=17&t=78015
• Install CF Golf club shaft as front hood prop
• Install King6 Passenger side motor mount
• Install MPGuino
• Get longer studs for k-sport coilovers to install front MS Strut bar
• Fix fuel gauge issue (1/4 tank = empty)
• Paint Ronal Teddy rims as killer zombie bears :D with glow in the dark accents?
• Install heated seat pads and switches into OEM 92 style leather seats
• Send off KL-DE cams cores to get ground into mild race cams
• Zombie/Apocalypse/Military outer aesthetic theme... more to come collecting ideas here: http://www.pinterest.com/Mooneggs/apoca ... eme-ideas/
• Probably the most important thing is to determine what direction to take with the motor. It's burning about a quart of oil every 500 miles or so. :(

The last things I am looking on my International Project list for this car:
• MX-3 Indiglo rear badge
• Presso/AZ-3 bra (euro style with foglight holes)
• Presso/AZ-3 front bumper poles (light up and/or non-light up, RHD and LHD)
• MX-3/Presso/AZ-3 full car cover
• MX-3/Presso/AZ-3 trunk/boot heavy liner
• Eunos/AZ3 suede top half seat/belt covers (black or brown)

Various pics from throughout the year:

quick question on your wheel, is the diameter of that small enough where it cuts off your vision? I had looked at a few aftermarket wheels before and that always bothered me

are you talking about vision to the dash cluster? No, I have no issues even with the Valentine One box in front of the speedo and the timetrap in the space on the top part of the wheel... I have adjusted the column as high as it will go.

I really prefer the slightly smaller wheels, it feels so much better and precise when racing. :driver: And I really like the D shape because it just looks awesome :D
