No way, you can fit a smaller speaker into a bigger hole, OMG!

I used 5.25's in the front, just mounted them to the plastic shroud that the 6.5 used to be in.

Stock speakers are 5 1/4" all around. Can fit 6 1/2" with a little work.

Recently installed JBL P662 speakers all around. Two of three holes lined up on the metal mounting bracket, had to cut one to mount it.

I took a poster advice and bought a Pioneer for my MX3, didn't work.
(Pioneer made for Mazda, and so on)

I bought a 6.5 set and it didn't fit. Only 1 hole will line up and I don't really want to drill the Mazda.

I am looking for a perfect fit. I know, I know, people here will say I want too much.

Alright, the Sony XS-R1644 fits perfectly, no drills and no fabrication need. Also, the windows doesn't hit the speakers either. The speakers are about $40 for the pair at Wal-Mart.

Those S's bang. Probably the best coaxials we sell at Best Buy.
Plus the spacers included are a life saver for situations like this one.
