Yeah that's only because I haven't adjusted them to even them out I really had it going on on my road trip with a couple hundred pounds of luggage... I scraped tire every time I hit a bump! I had the rears on full stiff as well (which helped a little).
My summers are 17' with 215/45 tires tires on and my strut is almost touching my wheel hahah I've driven it just a little with these wills on and it seemed to turn pretty good but I don't think I could fit 18's on mine with my current strut situation

I dont plan on putting 5 stud rims on a 4 stud car, Im going to take the 5 stud hubs from the wifeys dead 97 626 and put those hubs on the mx3. Coupled with the 2004 rx8s factory 17s.

The Mx-3's hubs are 26 spline, while that 626 should be 28, so you've got to modify you're axles too.
There's no easy way to go 5-lug unless you get an adapter or get Lantis/323 5-lug hubs from overseas. I think some Protege hubs will work, but you'd have to search.
It's not an easy mod and evades most. Good luck

@youdirtyfox - styling of the MX5 is just OK for me, I like everything else about it
This thread is all over the place lol
- The RX8 rims were what I was wanting to do with my AWD car . You can use Protege 5 or MS Protege front hubs (not the spindles) and they are a direct swap into the MX front for 5x114.3, then use the 626 rears Problem solved!
- you can fix the tire to close to the strut thing with spacers or a different offset on the wheels. I know that the 215 . 40 . 17's were really close to the strut body in the rears. but my 17's are like a +42 or something offset, with a +35 or +30 it wouldn't even be close to the strut.
Hey guys, I've got a question for you. I'm running stock suspension on a 95 RS right now, and my rims are 17x7 Drag DR2 rims. The tires on them are 215/40zr17. The tires that are on them right now are probably about 25ish% and they fit fine onto my car, although I haven't driven very far with them, however upon further reading this thread and other threads it seems like if I put these wheels on my tires will rub on my struts and I will not be able to turn properly(I think this is how I understood what I read but I may have no idea what Im talking about it). My question is will these wheels fit properly without rubbing on the struts and making turning difficult? I'm a big fan of the wheels and I've heard that if I get wheel spacers I will no longer have the problem, do you guys know anything about that?
Thanks in advance.

That's a real relief haha. THanks a lot RS.

When you turn the wheels the wheel and strut turn together so the wheel is not going to run into the strut...not sure if that's what you are thinking...but wanted to clarify. The problem I occasionally have with my 17's is that in a hard corner the tire deflects enough to rub on the strut body but it's not too bad.
