Ya I thought about the O2 position as well, makes sense to try it in the lower position.

Re: _-Night-Shade-_ [ 1994 GS-R ] - Winter 2010/2011, More S
Some more progress:
Since it's taking me so long to bring out my car I had enough time for more header wrap to arrive and I finished the y-pipe.
Decided to freshen up my suspension, the mounts speak for themselves.
Repainted my springs.
Everything put back together with new mounts.
Also since having the engine out of the car gives easy access to the steering rack, I decided to redo my tie rods as well. Old vs. new inner & outer tie rods.
New inner & outer tie rods put back together.
Old brake lines & clutch line vs. Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided brake lines & Corksport Stainless Steel Braided clutch line.
AWR Racing Solid Polyurethane Front & Rear Engine Mounts. These should definitely help me put the power down to the ground.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the support.
@ Evo_Spec: I just had a lot of plans for it for the winter in terms of upgrades and maintenance but I've been pretty busy and kept getting sidetracked so it's been taking longer than expected to get everything back together. It was supposed to be back on the road in April!
@ WhiteFinish: If by 'mounts' you mean the strut mounts, all the suspension/steering stuff was just at the parts store. The engine mounts I got used from a member but you can get them from AWR.

Re: _-Night-Shade-_ [ 1994 GS-R ] - More Progress...
While everything was out of the engine bay, I decided to paint it matte black. My MX-3 was originally creek blue mica, which you can see where the brake booster bolts on, and I hate it when the engine bay has a drastic colour difference.
Putting everything back. You can see my shiny SS braided clutch line in there.
I made a n00b mistake and ordered the wrong extended studs. Here are the right ones. ARP, pricy but great quality.
Starting my extended stud installation - rears first since they're easier. Stock studs compared to extended ones.
All done.
Disassembling the front knuckles. Notice the rusty c-clip, man that thing was a b*tch to get out.
Pressing out the old bearing.
Knuckles all cleaned up and painted.
Pressing in the new wheel bearing. Shiny.
Got some new clips at the stealership. The new design makes it easier to get some snap ring pliers in there, not that I'll need to redo this ever again for the rest of the car's life, but it's always nice to replace old rusty parts with new ones.
Beauty. Plenty of ani-sieze on there too.
Front hubs with the extended studs in.
Pressing the hub in...
And last but not least, some brand new wheel seals.
Meanwhile... getting the engine back together after all the upgrades.
Some things you can spy in this picture: the fidanza flywheel through the starter hole, wrapped headers, AWR engine mounts.

Re: _-Night-Shade-_ [ 1994 GS-R ] - About time
Thanks guys, much appreciated. It'll be on the road shortly now, I've just got a few things left like brakes and some other small goodies. I'm pretty excited, it's gonna be like a brand new car mechanically. This season has been like a mini restoration. As for the extended studs, I'm using 225 tires but I think they will clear without spacers. However, the purpose of the studs is so that I can safely run some 10mm spacers all around in the future just because it's hard to find 4x100 rims with low offset, AND if I ever get some fat drag slicks or r-compounds for competing they would definitely need to be spaced out to clear.

Been watching this for a good long while. Kudoes for all the work you've put into this car man, it's shaping up beautifully!
Couple of questions:
Have you ever found (or researched) a set of headers that actually FIT a 2.5 swap?
Ever consider Mega Squirt instead of the chip?
Where did ya run the car when you went auto-crossing?
