there is no secret... that's how you do it. pull all them suckers out. they aren't really designed to be taken in and out. just use a flat head screwdriver and pry them up carefully, prying up all around the head, not just at one side or the other. take your time, and you should keep the breakage to a minimum. parts store will carry very similar replacements for the broken ones

buy replacement clips and just go nuts cause their probably just going to break anyways, that's pretty old plastic holding it on.

If you haven't done it yet, I have a tip.

Buy the replacements at Lowe's, they're cheap and they have black, tan, white, and more colors available.

Yank the B**ch out, if you're careful you might save half the clips(if you're lucky)

i came to realize..if your gentle u can get it off without breaking a single clip. did it in my friends last night! all i did was pull the carpet and just made the clip's act like a button up shirt...0 clips broken. 1 a little bent. (wish i woulda had more patients when i did mine..5 clips broken) lol.

you could try to get them off by using a pair of wire cutters like a clip puller, but you have to watch you don't cut them off

so in short Just buy new ones tree clips are garbage!

and you ripped the carpet not enough it matters tho
