Looking awesome man. What size speakers did you fit the molding for?

Thanks :] they are 5.25" If I am right the stock speakers were 6". If you try to replicate what I did I would suggest using 5.25". I will post a more picture heavy step by step on doing it when I do the left side. The point in me saying to stay at 5.25" is because at the angle I have them using the lip of the plastic as a brace and a old 6"? ring it only has about a inch of clearance from the glass.

I guess if you do use the stock or 6" speakers to adjust the angle the speaker will be sitting to more flat and closer to the middle of the trunk to clear it. I would guess for mine, using the back bottom edge of the plastic, the speaker mount is a 45 degree angle with a 1 inch raise from the bottom edge. If you want a picture of mine from a certain angle of it or of it in the car, just let me know

Also my speaker mount has a 6" inch circumference if I am right lol , If you plain to use 6" speakers I can fit some 6" rings to mine and test its clearance if you would like.

Hmm. My stock speakers were already 5.25. I'll have to go to the wrecking yard and get some new housings first though. Both of mine have cracks in plastic. I definitely would like to see the step by step though. Thanks man!

odd , my 5.25s wouldn't fit into the old speakers housing. Anyway tho , I will do a better step by step for the left side when I can.

Thanks to Sisko182 I am one step closer to finishing my interior. He sent me some seats and mint seat covers. I am still in the process of putting all the little annoying round metal things on though.

Use zip ties! 100x faster and they hold up very well!

Same, my Mx-3 seats were done with tie wraps since I couldn't find the the rings, nor the tool to do them

I did heated seats in my Xterra, both front and back (and installed them in the front seats of friend's truck), and used tie wraps for those too. They work great, you just gotta think ahead to where the head of the tie wrap will sit, and have it on the backside so it's not going to be poking out.

Well seeing as I don't have any carpet, I decided to start sound proofing the car. I went to Lowes and apparently they do not sell peal and seal at ours. sadface but I did find something like it. It is $20 a roll for 15ft. I didn't take a picutre of the product but it's like air duct installation. So here is how much i got done with a single roll. I picked up more but it got dark fast so I will finish it tomorrow. Also here is the bottom seat I got off Sisko182 :]

So I took my bumper and hood off today and painted it to see how a home paint job would turn out. It turned out pretty good actually. Next time I'm going to use the paint i used on the bumper for the hood and everything else.

I used the same fabric I used on the back seats for the middles of my back panels. I need to touch up the paint again though.

I took 3M spray glue , used a putty knife to spread it around to a thin coat. put my fabric over it, then took the putty knife to get in the cracks. After it dried I took a x-acto knife and cut the extra fabric off. Also this is pretty thin fabric I liked that I found at Walmart.
