weenie i've had old pick up trucks with manual steering it gives you a good workout especially if you have to parallel parkNd4SpdSe wrote:I hope so, they have had 20 years to improve on that.mikeetown wrote:@ Nd4speed
Regardless as to how good an MX-3 can get, newer cars just are better.
If you like the Civic SI so much and it being so much better than your Mx-3, why don't you sell your Mx-3 and get one?
I could never do manual steering box.Sleeper6 wrote:manual box

@solo_ryder
I meant manual box as in MTX, however I do plan on going to a manual Rack as well though. Honestly theyre not that bad and offer better control of your car as long as the ratio is tight. Heck even when I had my 65 olds it was a manual rack/box and I never cared less. I guess the reality comes down to can you drive your car or do you need one that can do it for you?
I guess the rest comes down to how well you can evaluate the driver next to you, whether its on the track or on the street where 80% will loose control in inclement weather should any of those systems fail. Maybe I was just taught how to drive a vehicle properly and lived with total control long enough that I cant stand the overwhelming amounts of electronics that restrict driving on a modern machine, but hey thats just me...

Yeah well I can ride a bike - I am my engine. Betcha can't beat that.
I vote close this thread, its just turning into semantic banter... plus its dumb to start with. Yes a 2012 car is "scary good" compared to a 20 year old car. Did you expect anything else? Maybe if your mother dropped you or something...

I drove a Mercedes SL55 many times. It would so kick the a-- out of a Civic SI! I'd buy one of them instead.
