Re: Project Jay-Spec Mazda 323 KLZE
Test drove my new 12 tonne press. I pressed out the front wheel bearings and control arm bushings.
Made all the yuckey, rusty underpinnings beautiful again.
I washed all the underpinnings with Varsol in the parts washer, then wire brushed them with an angle grinder, then hosed them down with some flat black paint.
Look closely and you can see the MX-3 suspension bits hanging from the rafters.
The hubs ready for new bearings. Removing the old ones was a breeze with the press.
I gave the engine compartment another coat of paint, (I should have masked it off when i primmer-ed the shell). I gave the inner fenders a coat of rubberized rock-guard too.
My daily driver 323 borrowed the MX-326's wheels for the summer. I painted it four years ago, It really needs another coat of flat black!

I bought the trailing arms from these guys. Very inexpensive. Less then $40.00 each.ozkanb wrote:Hello.
Cool project.
I have a question.
where did you get the Trailing arms?
I have big trouble finding them, and my Mazda supplier (I live in Norway) wanted about 450USD.
What I need is actually the bushings, but if not, I`ll but the whole thing.

The Lateral links cost a small fortune at the Mazda stealership
Altrom generally supplies Auto parts stores (they don't sell to the public), but If I were you I would contact them, they may ship them to you, or perhaps refer you to a local vendor of their products?

By using the #13 from a 323 or an Escort you can use Energy Suspension Part #4.3152G front control arm bushings on your MX-3.

If I were to start my project again, I would not use MX-3 suspension. I would buy an Escort GT and put A KLZE in it LOL MX-3 suspension is just different enough that hardly anybody makes anything for it. Super pro is the only company that makes a bushing kit to fit a MX-3. I ended up buying new latteral links from Mazda and New trailing arms from Altrom. You can check this out. My laterals were F'd so this did not work for me.

I could hook you up in the future if you ever need. I have had enough inquiries in the past 6 weeks or so that I will probably sell another round before spring.
