Best way to do the swap is to get a parts car or find a j/y and go with some friends. Shouldn't cost alot, will just take a bit of time - the hatches are heavy.

yeah I use mine all the time... all though I think the hatch looks cleaner without the wiper but it is quite useful IMO..._-Night-Shade-_ wrote:I find that the hatch glass is too horizontally levelled for the water to slide down, so yeah the rear wiper really does come in handy, I think it looks good too.

Agreed. I use the wiper, but hate the way it looks. What's worse is the hatch shade, it looks like vents down the back window.

i use my rear wiper a lot, here rains a lot in summer, and it's very useful.
and in the winter all the glasses became blurry, and the wiper cleans it very well!!

You need the whole hatch, the wiper assembly will come with it. Wiring shouldn't be too bad, esp if you choose not to hook up the sprayer.

Yeah I had no problems wiring up the power windows (for some reason, when i used the wiring harness that came with the power windows, it did not work.. and i noticed that my interior harness did not have the wiring for the power windows)onlytrueromeo wrote:You need the whole hatch, the wiper assembly will come with it. HAHA this made me laugh! I turned my wiper on, and when it hit the bottom I pulled the fuse. I only use it when it's raining, I use the defogger every single morning. The last 3 days we've had tornadoes, funnel clouds, thunderstorms, and torrential downpours. Ya, in freakin Red Deer. I personally like the wiper when it's useful, after a wax on a sunny day I want it gone haha.

Re: Rear wipers? How do you like them?
i didnt like the rear wiper so i took it out and plugged that hole in the glass with a rubber grommet. looks way cleaner, but im sure there have been times that it would have been useful.

Re: Rear wipers? How do you like them?
I wish I had an american version without the wiper! I shaved mine but still have the black part that looks like I had it through the window! ALL Canadian ones came with them! But I know american ones some did not come with a deffoger and wiper (loked it up when I worked at Mazda)!! I REALLY want that one!!
