Would have thought you'd need at least a RRFPR and some DE/ZE injectors to avoid being mega lean. Wideband would help with that.

yeah sure it would run but like s---... i know a megasquirt is alot of cash but its the best thing you can buy for your turbo setup... i ran mine with my FMU for about 20km and i just cant trust it... now i have my megasquirt and im not worried at all...

if ever i do an other turbo setup the first thing i will buy is the megasquirt, i'd buy it before anything else...

Yea you gotta cut extend and weld the engine mount xmember for the downpipe to pass through. Not a huge job though!

se7en, i just saw a report about the Genebra car show , and they were showing a glipse of the new Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA.
It's going to have a 1.8 turbo with reliable 230bhp .
Can we have similar bhp on a reliable source, or is the AlfaRomeo engine just stronger ?

It depends on alot of things. 210bhp on a 1.8BP would be no problem, on a K8, it may or may not be doable, but it'll mostly depend on the motor. Mazda probably never intended to boost the K8, and that's the problem. It really all comes down to the design of the motor. If they built it to handle boost, 230hp should be no problem. I think most who boost their K8 run around 200bhp

200bhp??

it's not the engine that is the weak link at all...mine was the g-series trans...third gear is sooo weak..

I am still running approx 250-275Whp, with no engine problems at all...but the trans on the other hand....

1st 2nd, and fourth....not a fun transition :(
