I agree, there are lots of cool remote reservoirs in the aftermarket and even in the wrecking yard.wytbishop wrote:I agree, but a nice remote reservoir could be sick as hell too. I'm going to pick up a booster from an RS MX-3 nad compare to the MX6 booster. I think they're about the same depth but the internals of the RS match the GS a little closer. I'm hoping it will make it easier to mate the GS master.
I think I may just use the factory reservoir and fabricate a proper bracket for it.
projectmx3, the booster you made/modified is very cool, just beyond the capabilities of many people doing similar swaps, just thought I would mention possible alternatives, sorry to thread-jack your post.

Dominic Toretto's whip is a MaZda and his cell phone number starts in "(323)"

lol its cool. i would really appreciate it also if you took the picture of the 323 and the brake masters out though. ill pm you also about that incase u dont check this thread again.
if you do check. that vacuum line coming out of the brake master is actually your clutch line your hydraulic clutch runs off of brake fluid.

WHy are you using a k8 TB? I know you can bore it out like you said, but a ZE TB is so much easier!

Re: Projectzemx3 worklog - straight neck klze, pics inside.
great news - dads company has a professional paint booth for painting transport truck parts. it is a fibreglass company, and they just shipped out the last of the only products they painted.
basically now they have a professional paintbooth with nothing getting painted and a galon of coca-cola red (the company they painted for) and its cool with the owner of the company, the painter, and the shop manager that i bring the mx3 in for paint.
looks like im in for a couple days of sanding soon
still on crutchs too....
its legit coca-cola red as well supplied by coca-cola, and if a painter paints the coca-cola trucks i would imagine that paint defects would not be accepted by such a large company, so what im gettin at is this painter is probably really good.

Thats cool!
In regards to your intake.. Are you hooking up the rear VC breather to your Intake? Or just leaving it hanging?

How's it coming along? Haven't heard any updates for a while.
Where did you/will you put your battery? I'm going to have to move mine as well and I'm just thinking through the details. I think I can modify the stock battery tray to sit flat in the hatch. I was thinking of mounting it with rubber grommets to the floor in the back left corner. What's your plan for that?

I'm looking forward to the Coke color. I would guess it's a single stage enamel, so you could buff it to a mirror shine.
