So...
$300 cash, this is what I got.
1991 Mercury Tracer, Auto.
132K on the clock
My logic - It's an auto. It's within my acceptable km's range. It's a tracer. What kind of kid drives a tracer? Most likely old person driven. It's nice and golden under the cover. I can bring it back for credit.
Whatcha think? Its a little oily, I especially noticed under the disty. Good thing I have a full gasket set ready. Oh, and lots of engine cleaner and ambition.
From what I understand, I need the ECU yet (this is even debateable) and a TPS.
On a different note, I had a stange experince today.
It snowed about 1'. I drove to my brother's house and parked in it for... 6 hours. I went to leave (my winters serve me well, and I got onto his yard just fine) but it just wouldn't go. Lots and lots of shoveling, pushing, no go. Pulled off his driveway with his truck. It was acting weird. I drove it 20 feet down the highway and something was definately wrong. It was pulling funny, like I had one wheel steering and a rogue wheel... I was thinking shyte, I broke a control arm or steering rods or something... I stand back and look, fronts are okay, but the rear tire... is only half full with snow, like the bottom half. Click. My ebrake was frozen on, but only one tire was stuck. we hit it with a 2x4, but it wouldn't budge. I drove it across the highway and it didn't break loose. We had to pull off the tire, and whack it on the studs.
It was frightening, then funny, then cold, and then it was all good...
