Re: [GI] Poly bushings UPDATED TOP POST Aug 15
Just an update.
I have been having trouble getting any action out of the various suppliers and manufacturers I'm in contact with. I have delivered drawings or models to 3 different manufacturers and have had a "general" discussion with one of them which led me to believe that the cost may be higher than I originally anticipated. Nothing has been determined yet but it would help me to know from all of you what you consider a fair price, and a price at which you will actually commit yourself to the group buy, for a complete kit including grease, poly and sleeves.
Based on pricing that has been posted on clubprotege.com for SuperPro, the set I am putting together would cost $408USD. I can definitely compete with that price, but it will depend on the number of orders. I want to know how many of you are really in and what your threshold price is.

Re: [GI] Poly bushings SEPT 04, INTERESTED PARTIES PLZ RESPOND
This thread is becoming quite word intensive. Is it possible to update the first post with a summary of which bushings we are looking at, quantities and initial renderings of the bushings intended to be in the package, so as to make sure everybody knows what they are getting into before they say aye, and hopefully to excite more people into wanting to buy them?

Sorry. It's my first time doing something like this. I'll hold off until I have something concrete for you all.

Re: [GI] Poly bushings SEPT 04, INTERESTED PARTIES PLZ RESPOND
I'm still interested, but won't have money for another 2 weeks. ~400 seems like a good price, considering 2 mounts cost 160. I too would like to see a complete list of all the bushings we'd be getting

Re: [GI] Poly bushings SEPT 04, INTERESTED PARTIES PLZ RESPOND
The parts list will be as follows:
2 @ Bushing, LCA, front
2 @ Bushing, LCA, rear
2 @ Bushing, Trailing Arm, front
2 @ Bushign, Trainling Arm, rear
6 @ Bushing, TTL, Inner and Outer (the inner bushings of the front TTL and the Inner and Outer bushings of the rear TTL are the same)
2 @ Bushing, TTL, Outer
2 @ Bushing, Sway Bar, front
2 @ Bushing, Sway Bar, rear
A sufficient supply of assembly grease will be included. All the necessary stainless steel sleeves and washers will be included. All other hardware will be available at additional cost.
I just wanted to know what is the threshold cost at which people are going to lose interest...because I think we're going to be close to that and the number of sets I sell has a large impact on the feasibility of the project. Having said that, I am willing to take a small loss so that I can do another round in the future and possibly approach other forums which have similar bushing needs.

Re: [GI] Poly bushings SEPT 04, INTERESTED PARTIES PLZ RESPOND
I would want all the hardware so i dont have to spend time searching around for stuff. Would it be possible to add the shift fork bushing to that? I know it's not suspension related, but mine is in like 5000 pieces.

I have a drawing of the shifter bushings but I haven't had time to arrange manufacturing. I will look into it as soon as I can.

Okay, I'm still in provided this seems to be a good value according to everyone else (I haven't had time to do comparative pricing). Any word on the heim-joint sway bar links?

Re: [GI] Poly bushings SEPT 11, UPDATED TOP POST
I have updated the top post regarding the bushings. Things are looking good.
I have a manufacturer of Spherical end links sending me samples from down east. I think I can do front links for about $50/pair and rears for about $80/pair. I will have to source some of the parts for the rear links from the US as I cannot find certain parts anywhere here.
sorry, all this stuff takes time.
