I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I still recommend NOT getting this chip, even guys that have used the probinator chips have stated that the engines seem to run better using the OEM ecus. Though for the cost of a kl31/36 ecu you could get a megasquirt setup if you feel comfortable with building it yourself which really isn't that hard to do honestly

What other issues came up Mnemonic? From what I understand the only real improvment is the VRIS points are spot for the curved. Not to many people need the speed limiter removed but its is a plus I guess. Not trying to be ignerent but I have not found to many people who did not like his chips. I thought it was the next best thing befor going standalone for a curved neck ze. Any info would be appreiciated.

well im on my phone so I can't go to into it. but I've herd about better idle and fuel economy using oem I believe even hector stated he saw an improvement in how his ran when he went with the klze ecu. as for the rev limiter I can't say I ever had problems with it as it didn't activate till after 7500 rpms and all k series power band ends at 6800 rpm unless heavily modded

you def get better fuel economy and you gain like .1 at the track (depending on driver)

I like my kl36 ecu. Ill probably just use some msd window switches for the vris.

Good thing about the probinator is that you can check codes the regular way.

ALso I think he can set vris points to however u want.

That was my understanding. I was going to do the MSD switches with my kl36, but I wanted to have the CEL for easy of diagnostics if something came up.

i'v done kl36 for a year and a half or so, but then tried probinator and havn't looked back. vris points being spot on has improved overall performance feel (i'v actually done dyno's b4 and after, and w/ the kl36, the power actually dips before vris kicks in, whereas with probinator it remains strong the whole way)
not only that, but i get about 20km/tank further with the probinator

maybe the people who'v had problems messed up the install

I have probinator too, seems fine to me. Smith18 also has one, works good.

For the price? Can't beat it.
