Thinking about buying one for my mx3. Anyone of you guys recommend them ? one of my mates has one on his FTO n said it made a fair bit of a difference, plus it looks cool.

V6 or 4cyl?
If it is a v6 model that you have I would not recommend it as one you hit the gas at full throttle the SAFC will be ignored as the ecu runs a pre made program to run rich (at about 13.7 A/F) when you go WOT. Unless you modify your throttle body to only open 90% of the way (the ecu cannot sense WOT), then they will not help you that much.

Well the FTO is a totally different car with a mitsu ecu. Does not function like a mx3 v6

I have never seen anyone try that on one of our motors. If you are going to tune, use MSNS as it is well documented with our V6 engines and it can actually work with our ECU's as a piggyback or standaloneStablo87 wrote:What about the Smt-6?

how much of a gain wud i be looking at? i just put on a K&N pod filter thats about it for engine mods

Probably not a whole lot, if you use megasquirt on a 1.8L v6 you may yeild 10hp

Sounds like S-AFC wouldn't be much use to you even if it did work with our cars. Most people only use them on turbocharged applications.
